Marketiger FAQ’s

Got questions? Here’s everything you need to know about Marketiger3D, the Hub, and how we bring ideas to life.

SCROLL DOWN

Yes. Marketiger provides an API that allows partners to automatically submit 3D printing orders, retrieve live pricing, and manage production workflows without manual interaction. Fulfillment and payment can also be part of our solution, depending on your requirements. More detailed documentation can be found through Marketiger API Docs

Our API enables companies to integrate full-color 3D printing directly into their own platforms or applications.

Typical API use cases include:

  • Automatically submitting 3D print orders
  • Getting instant price quotes
  • Uploading 3D model files
  • Tracking order and shipping status
  • Managing production workflows
  • Payment

This allows businesses to integrate 3D printing into their AI platformse-commerce platforms, configurators, or custom applications.r technical reasons. There is no single material or wall thickness answer possible. The thickness depends on your 3D model design, but we recommend a minimum wall thickness of 1 mm for reliable full-colour 3D printing.

The Marketiger Hub is our central platform where you can manage your 3D printing projects. It allows you to upload files, request quotes, track progress, and communicate directly with our team.

Simply upload your files and provide your specifications through the Hub. Based on your input, we’ll review your project and send you a tailored proposal.

Marketiger3D helps businesses bring ideas to life through full-color 3D printing. From prototypes and scale models to marketing materials and end products, we combine technology and creativity to deliver tangible solutions.

Marketiger3D work across a wide range of industries, including industrial manufacturing, architecture, retail, events, and marketing agencies. Whether you need a functional prototype or a high-impact visual piece, we tailor our approach to your goals.

Getting started with a 3D printing project at Marketiger3D is easy. If you already have a 3D file (such as .STL, .OBJ, or .VRML), you can upload it directly. If not, our team is happy to support you with design, modeling, and optimization.
We also offer the Marketiger Hub—our central platform that makes the entire process seamless and efficient. In just three simple steps, you can bring your idea to life:
Upload your file or describe your concept
Add your specifications and project details
Receive your quote and start production

Start your project via the Marketiger Hub:

The answer depends on several factors, but this guide provides clear pricing ranges and insights to help you estimate your costs. If you already have a file available, you can upload it to Marketiger HUB to receive an instant quote. Marketiger HUB will also check the printability of your file and fix it if needed.

Typical Cost for Small Full-Color 3D Prints
For small objects (approximately 5–10 cm / 2–4 inches), pricing typically falls into the following ranges:

Small €20 – €50
Medium €50 – €150
Large €150+

Our printers use a UV-curable photopolymer resin that allows us to produce high-resolution, full-color 3D prints with smooth surfaces and detailed textures.

During the printing process:
The model is built layer by layer using colored photopolymer resin
wax-like support resin is printed around the object to support complex shapes
After printing, the support material is removed during post-processing with water

There is no single material or wall thickness answer possible. The thickness depends on your 3D model design, but we recommend a minimum wall thickness of 1 mm for reliable full-colour 3D printing.

What “thickness” means in 3D printing

In 3D printing, thickness usually refers to the wall thickness of your model, not the material itself. Since objects are printed layer by layer, the material thickness is defined by your design.

Recommended wall thickness:

For Mimaki full-colour 3D printing, we recommend:

  • Minimum wall thickness: 1 mm
  • Small details / fragile parts: thicker than 1 mm for durability
  • Large models: may require additional thickness for strength

Our full-color 3D printers have a build platform of 508 × 508 × 305 mm. However, practically such size is challenging to print in one piece. In case you have object larger than 300 x 300 x 200 mm it is recommended to contact Customer Support for further advice.

Usually not. A single photo of a building is typically not enough to create an accurate 3D printable model, because 3D printing requires a complete 3D model file. However, new AI-based tools are rapidly improving and may sometimes generate a 3D model from an image.

AI-generated 3D models from images

Several AI-powered 3D generation tools are rapidly evolving and can sometimes create a 3D model from a single image or a small number of images. Depending on the complexity and clarity of the picture, these tools may be able to generate a usable 3D file.

However, AI-generated models often still require manual cleanup or optimization before they are suitable for high-quality 3D printing. Marketiger HUB will check and fix many of the typical artifacts caused by AI generated objects. Sign up is Free of Charge and will immediately return the price of an object. Rescaling the object is also possible in HUB.

No, having fewer polygons in a 3D model does not directly reduce the printing cost. The price of a 3D print mainly depends on:

  • The volume of the model (how much material is used)
  • The amount of support material required
  • The overall size of the object and therefore print time

Many people are familiar with print quality settings on home printers, such as Draft, Normal, or High Quality modes. At Marketiger, all prints are produced using High Quality settings only. We do not compromise on the quality of our output.

The number of polygons mainly affects file size and processing performance, not the physical material used during printing.

However, extremely dense meshes (millions of polygons) can sometimes make files slower to process or upload, so simplifying the mesh can still be useful for technical reasons. There is no single material or wall thickness answer possible. The thickness depends on your 3D model design, but we recommend a minimum wall thickness of 1 mm for reliable full-colour 3D printing.

No, we generally do not provide 3D modeling services. Customers are recommended and expected to supply a ready-to-print 3D model file when placing an order. For larger and complex projects, you can contact our Customer Support to discuss the best approach to meet your requirements. We have a large network of suppliers in our field that we can possibly recommend to you.

3D model requirement

To produce a 3D print, we require a complete 3D model file. The model should already be prepared for 3D printing. You can find more details in our Knowledge Base or through our website under Resources -> File Requirements.

Exceptions

In some cases, we may be able to recommend external partners or tools that can help create or prepare a 3D model. This depends on the complexity of the project.

AI modeling tools

New AI-powered 3D modeling tools are evolving rapidly and may be able to generate a 3D model from images or text prompts. Depending on the result, these models may still require adjustments before they are suitable for high-quality 3D printing.mmend a minimum wall thickness of 1 mm for reliable full-colour 3D printing.
